Why Was My Transaction Declined?
If your transaction didn’t go through, don’t worry—it’s a common issue and often easy to resolve. Below are the most common reasons why a payment might be declined, and what you can do to fix it.
🔍 Common Reasons for Declined Transactions:
- Incorrect Card Details
Double-check your card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address. - Insufficient Funds
Ensure your account has enough available balance to complete the purchase. - Bank Restrictions
Some banks block online, international, or recurring payments by default. - ✅ Tip: Contact your bank to approve or whitelist the transaction.
- Card Expired or Blocked
An expired or temporarily blocked card will not process payments. - Gateway Errors or Technical Issues
Payment gateways (like Stripe or PayPal) may occasionally have outages or errors. - Multiple Failed Attempts
Too many failed payment attempts in a short time may trigger a security block.
✅ What You Can Do:
- Try a different payment method (another card or PayPal)
- Clear your browser cache or try a different browser
- Contact your bank to authorize the charge
- Double-check all billing details before resubmitting
- Update your payment info in your Account > Billing Settings
